Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the SitBook Android application, published by PocketForge Studio, handles information when you use the app. For privacy questions, contact support@sitbook.co.uk.

Information you choose to store

SitBook may store information you enter or add to the app, including:

• Client and household information, such as names, contact details and address information.
• Pet information, such as names, photos, routines, feeding instructions, medication and health notes.
• Home information, such as parking or household instructions and instruction photos.
• Emergency information, such as emergency contacts and veterinary details.
• Visit notes and visit history you choose to record.
• Access information, such as entry notes, key or lockbox locations, door or gate codes, alarm details and other access instructions.

How SitBook uses this information

The information you enter is used to provide SitBook's features on your device, including displaying client and pet records, home and emergency information, visit history and access instructions.

Local storage

SitBook is designed as a local-first app. Client, pet, household, visit and access information is stored on your device as part of the app's normal operation. SitBook does not require a SitBook account and does not upload this information to a PocketForge Studio server.

Depending on your Android device, operating-system settings and backup configuration, app data may also be included in device or platform backups that you control.

Access information and security

Sensitive Access information is encrypted before it is stored by SitBook. SitBook uses Android platform security features, including the Android Keystore, to protect the encryption key.

SitBook can also use an app PIN and, on supported devices where you enable it, Android biometric authentication to help prevent casual access to information in the app. Biometric matching is performed by Android; SitBook does not receive or store your fingerprint or other biometric template.

No security system can guarantee absolute protection. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for deciding what information is appropriate to store in SitBook.

Photos and camera

SitBook lets you take or select photos when you choose to add an image to a pet or household instruction record. Selected or captured images used by SitBook are copied into the app's private storage. SitBook does not continuously access your camera.

Advertising and analytics

SitBook does not currently include advertising, third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics services.

Sharing and sale of information

PocketForge Studio does not sell the client, pet, household, visit or access information you store in SitBook and does not share that information with advertisers.

If you contact us for support, information you choose to include in your email may be processed only as necessary to respond to your request.

Data retention and deletion

Information stored by SitBook remains on your device until you delete records using the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, subject to any device or platform backups you have enabled.

Because SitBook does not currently create a SitBook online account or maintain a PocketForge Studio cloud copy of your app records, there is no separate SitBook cloud account to delete.

Information about other people

SitBook is intended to help pet sitters and dog walkers organise information supplied for their work. You are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate reason and any necessary permission to store personal information about clients, household members or other contacts in the app.

Children

SitBook is not directed specifically at children and is intended for people managing pet-care information for their work or personal organisation.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as SitBook changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
